Each player builds their own part of the forest from cards depicting the corresponding animals and food trails. Each player is randomly dealt an animal card, which indicates what the animal likes and how much food they can collect. For example, a fox likes eggs, but not berries or nuts. To get more points, you must try to get each animal to collect its favorite food.

You will receive help from animals during the game. This will depend on which card you choose in the central market. For example, a rooster will help you get up early so that you can be the first to choose a card on your next turn. An armadillo teaches you how to dig bigger hiding places so that you can store more food, etc.
